Premonitions (1985)

DESCRIPTION: An Easter morning at home.

MATERIALS: phototransfer of scanned photographs on wood panel

DESCRIPTION (continued): Premonitions shows me on Easter morning in 1985, standing in front of our kitchen window (four years before our house would be destroyed by the Loma Prieta earthquake).

The accordion-like distortion of the photo on the right was achieved by moving the photo as I scanned it, simulating the movement of tectonic plates.
